Accessing Facebook, you will get a screen like this.
![]() | |||||||||||||||||||
| Sad face. |
to get on to the login page, simply change the http:// in the address bar to https://.
so, http://www.facebook.com becomes https://www.facebook.com. After you log in, you will probably get directed back to the block page. when this happens, do the same thing. add https:// to the url.
This is getting annoying! I don't want to do this every single time!
Luckily, there is an answer that Facebook conveniently added to alleviate this. Navigate to the top right corner of the page, and click account settings.
From the account settings, click "secure browsing" in the left pane. click "edit" and check the box that says "use secure browsing whenever possible". this will automatically prefix URLs with https://.
And you're done. the only time you will have to manually set https from now on is at the homepage if you are not logged in.
Hope this helped. Ask questions, or post suggestions in the comments.
